Finally a use for a T40 touchpad
In this post, Tuomas Kuosmanen remarks that setting up the touchpad in X just so will give scroll-areas to the right and bottom of the pad. It turns out that I have already set up my ThinkPad T40 this way, and although I never use the touchpad for pointing, I can easily use it for scrolling. Maybe it helps that I use the pointer with my left hand. I now have no need to use tp-scroll. Wonder!
